I have the Flowmaster 40series on my Durango. Now my wife wants to take hers to a shop to have hers changed out but being a mechanic, I told her that I would do that for her. She says she WILL NOT have the same as I have on my Durango. Hers is a 2003 4.7 and I am asking anyone here if they have experienced the sound of the Flowtech or Thrush Turbo mufflers. I am leaning towards Flowtech but I would like opinions. She does not like how loud mine is so I figured on getting a nice deeper tone than stock.

 

Get her a Flowmaster Series 50 SUV.

Now you do realize Indy that if I do as you say and she thinks it is way too loud that I will be in the doghouse and she will ban me from coming to this site, so to I have to ask you guys to put yourselves in my shoes cuz I will have to live with the choice.

 

That is EXACTLY why you get the 50 SUV. She will be pleased especially next to your obnoxiously over loud FM 40.

Do NOT get the series 50 Delta. Get the Series 50 SUV.

I have a flowmaster 70 series on my D and love it, interior noise is at a minimum but you can hear it coming down the street and people move when walking in front of it.

 

I like the sound of the 24" MagnaFlow Muffler as it's still quiet enough to take hunting but loud enough to make someone look. It has a nice low grunting sound but not loud.


Indy really likes the SUV series as many people say the 2 sound similar.

 

Ok Indy, I am going to install the Series 50 SUV and cross my fingers that she will not ban me from the puter. I heard the sound of the MagnaFlow and I liked that one too, sounds almost like the FlowTech Afterburners. Thanx guys!
