Does the 4X4 ride higher than a 2X4

Yes, only because of difference in tires. I own a 2002 4wd and my wife's is a 2003 2wd and we both have 265/70r/16 on the vehicles. The stock tires for hers were 235/70r/16.

there are differences in ride height btwn the 4wd and 2wd models the front suspension is a coil over suspension instead of torsion bars which gives a better 'ride' but also lowers it a little bit, it is NOT MUCH of a difference tho
