Dash trim arrived this weekend (of course I was out of town) and I started with some of the install. I got some of the easy stuff installed, like the door handles, and window panels. The dash and instrument panel stuff will have to wait till I finish getting the panel put back together after the recent radio install. I am looking for a new center console also so there is some pieces there that will have to hold for now. I got a few photos to start with, unfortunately, I started losing daylight and battery life on the camera.

One of the interesting things to note is that this trim covers up the markings for the door control panels such as lock/windows and mirrors, but most of us had them long enough to know which switch operates which component.

The other thing to note is that this is much easier to install than I thought, just basically set up the trim and peel back the adhesive backing tape. Press down along the way and it should keep it secure.

looks good except that the stock color shows around the switch panel on the the drives side door (the openings int he trim have to allow for the switch and the raised part to fit through )

 

I noticed that during the test fitting, but nothing I can do about it now. I think it still looks better than all stock.

Hydra. Thanks for the support. I would consider this as a how to, but it is so simple that there is really not that much to it. Be patient and pay attention to the diagram. So far there is limited curved pieces the only ones so far are the center panel air vents on each side of the radio panel and a slight curve for the glovebox latch.

This material is pretty pliable and easy to do minor bending. The instructions mention a hair dryer or heat gun but so far I have not needed it yet. Another factor in the easy install is the warm outside temps, this is a warm weather project. If you are doing it in the winter make sure you have a heated garage and a few hours to let the pieces and ahesive set. The adhesive promoter mentioned in the instructions has not been needed yet.

Overall this was pretty easy to install and I encourage members to check this product out. If you can play tetris and have some motor skills you can probably do this in a couple of hours.
