Hi Everybody

I have a 99 Durango that needs some New Tires .

A Friend has a 2001 Dakota that has a set of gently used tires stored a few miles away . I Have Not Seen them

Will These tires fit my Durango Rims ?

As far as i know they are basic Dakota Tires

Yes they should.

 

as long as the rims on his dakota are the same size (diameter) as the tires on your durango, they both came with either 15 or 16 inch rims, make sure his are the same size as yours

Not enough data in the OP to confirm or deny. The rims the same... or fairly so... **IF** the wheels are the same size the rubber will work fine.

Without that info, no way to know.

My 99 has 15" wheels and I'm pretty sure that an 01 will have 16" wheels.

Here's another idea.
Is your friend willing to do a complete swap?
The bolt pattern is the same so an exchange will work just fine.

It probably would be best to still double check the tire sizes.

 

radar, 15" rims were standard on the baseline models for all years of both trucks, some(ok MOST) of the trim lines above that came with 16" rims in later years, but that is not guarantee that his friend has 16's or that he has 15's.

I was really sure that they had changed over.

I've been having difficulty finding tires that I like in the 31x10.5x15" size anymore.
I myself have been looking at changing over to a 16" rim or larger, just to increase my choices.
