Default Ignition cylinder 03 durango, rebuild or replace??

Long story short, my durangos ignition cylinder was locked up and I couldnt turn the key in any direction, I ended up removing the steering column shroud and banging on it until I could turn the key. Im looking for the cheap route here, and I was thinking of just having all the tumblers replaced by a parts department for $25, but they told me that they never rebuild old cylinders, only replace them, and that it may be the cylinder itself thats bad. A new cylinder is a little over $100, so what should I do??

get the new lock cylinder & have it re-keyed. if the old one bound up I wouldn't trust it.

get the new cylinder, and have it keyed to your existing key, do it right the first time or you will regret it later

+3 on the re-key swap.
