Default Side view Mirror ??

My driver side mirror appearantly has an anti-glare coating to it (goldish in color). I don't know what went wrong with it but when i look into it, i see 3 images. Yes i am drinking now, but that has nothing to do with the issue, thank you very much. Anyway, is this fixable or replacable? Insight on how to do either is appreciated as it is not usable in its current state. Thanks

it's not hard to replace the mirror part by itself, otherwise look for a good used one, or quit wearing the trick glasses when you drive ;-)

hmm replacing the mirrors would not be hard to do, but depending on which mirrors you have that could be expensive

You can check into ebay for replacements.

I meant just the glass & the plastic part it's bedded in, not the whole housing.

idk if the sell just that part, i know that i have never seen them sold except as entire housings, if you have power mirrors i would be wary of damaging the internal motors trying to replace just the glass

The only way I've seen the glass out is when one fell apart and the user asked what to do to fix it. The mirror came off the motor assembly. He simply glued it back on with epoxy if I remember correctly and it wasn't a heated mirror.

As far as I know there is no replacement glass. You could hit up a bone yard?

Same thing happened to me. My side mirror's heating element apparently burnt out and caused the anti-glare to warp. That's why you see triple. I replaced mirrors with a pair of foldong dumbos from an '00. They fit perfectly but I had to rewire the harnesses to fit the '01 harness. All functions work. HTH.
