Default Strange noise? 02 sensors?

Ok... when I accelarate sometimes it will hit about 30 mph or 40 and it feels like the vehicle hesitates, it doesn't rev up infact it seems like I just took my foot off the gas even though I didn't. If I keep my foot on the gas even though its starting to decelerate it makes a strange popping noise under the hood. It does it like clockwork everytime. I don't apply additional pressure to the petal just keep my foot on it. It sounds like its coming from under the hood and its not very loud just enough for me to hear it.
Reciently it threw 2 codes. Both for bad O2 sensors. Its strange because I doubt they'd both go out at once... Sometimes it has a rough idle and poor acceleration but I'm curious if there could be other problems?

My best guess based on your limited description, you have a major league knock & ping issue.

For the moment just clear the o2 codes, then get the best 91 octane you can find & filler up, I'm partial to chevron. hit the road & try it again. if it improves AT ALL get your injectors & intake cleaned. find a shop that uses BG's stuff I have tried sun & various other but the BG kicks ****.

You may still need o2's but I doubt it the cause.

exactly what rpm would be helpful too you may just be hitting the fuel cut rev limiter & need to adjust the kick down.

hm maybe around 1500-1800 rpms its under light acceleration. It feels like acceleration jus freezes up and I tap on the gas an it moves. Its only when I leave my foot on the gas when it loses its acceleration it makes the noise probably about 3 seconds later. But if I release my foot off the gas and reapply pressure it gets "unstuck".

Only codes were something about the voltage with the o2 sensors. Sometimes when idleing at the light it will drop down to 300-500 up to 800 900 and back down. MAP sensor is good...IAC is new, TPS is new. TB is clean and I have a cold air intake. after reving it up a bit or restarting it... it seems to solve to problem for a little bit.

It did sit with a full take of gas for 2 months before driving it this week. Threw some fuel stabilizer in there just incase gas was bad. I replaced the oil with Royal Purple 10w30 and transmission fluid with some Royal Purple Max ATF.

Sounds like a Plenum gasket to me. Are you using more oil than usual?

From reading other posts on O2 sensors I've read some other people had the same problem as me including the noise. It was all solved with replacing the o2 sensors. I will replace them both tomorrow and I will keep this thread updated. Thanks for the help.

Nooope both 02 sensors replaced... put some 93 octane in it. Still getting the P0132 and P0138.

Still lost any suggestions?

I got a CAI and an Airraid TB Spacer...

Someone actually suggested that I might have an intermitten misfire with that loss of acceleration an that strange noise that i hear for under the hood. Said to change out my coil. I got new plugs and plug wires, new distrubuter and a good rotor. I'm running out of ideas and money lol.

Should I change out the coil? Plenum gasket? Exaust? Change the plugs again?
