Default Durango lift kits and the risks involved.

Hey,

I am on the fence on buying a 98-99 Durango 4x4 and installing a lift kit. One thing that I am concerned with is the cv axles in the front and pinion angle that will change.

It's not like lifting my Ram where I'm just replacing the springs, control arms and aal's. I was looking at some of the lift kits for the Durango and was like Whoa! There seems to be a lot of brackets and drilling/welding to do.

I don't mind doing all that if the lift will not hurt the drive train. I've heard some horror stories and wanted to check in with you guys first before I buy one.

Thanks

The only lift you want to get is just doing a Torsion/Shackle lift for 2" and a 3" body lift and that's about all you can do.

Second, I would suggest to stay with the newer 2000 and up years.
