IAC and TPS replacement
I've been having idling and stalling problems with my '03 Durango SXT (4.7L) and after looking around the site here, I'm thinking it may be my TPS or IAC acting up. I have a buddy coming over tonight who's a bit of a gear-head to help me test these and replace them if necessary.
He mentioned that if I have to replace the TPS or IAC, I'll have to reset the base idle. The other posts that give instruction on how to test these parts and whatnot had nothing relating to base idle or anything. So....is he right? If so, how do we do that?
Also, are there any "gotcha's" or anything like that with replacing those parts? Or is it pretty much a "pull out the old, put in the new"?
If anyone could help me out, I'd be most appreciative. Thanks!

you could get away with out resetting anything, but whenever you replace a part thta plugs into the computer we recommend that you hard reset the PCM, this is done by removing the negative terminal of the battery, and holding the key to start for 30 seconds or so to drain the electrical system, simple thing to do which will help the computer learn the new part faster
Leave the linkage alone! Just replace the parts or parts and reset the PCM. Here are instructions at the top of the first post: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...ine-light.html
