I was thinking of buying a 01 durango needs a motor. It came with a v8 4.7 in it but my question is the v8 out of the dakotas will they work or does anyone know where I can buy one and about how much am i looking at before I buy!

 

2001 4.7 is a 2001 4.7. Will be fine.

It should work.

Make sure it's the same 16 tooth motor on the PCM..
