Default Can I Remove the Bolt/Flange on the Back of the Front Diff?

I had some trouble getting the driveshaft out and wanted to know if I can take the flange off of the front diff. Will this mess anything up in the diff?
Thanks.

How are you going to get the pinion nut off without taking the u-joint off??? That is impossible...

I could barely get it out because part of the exhaust and the flange off of the diff were in the way. It would be quite simple to reinstall if the flange was not in the way.

This is correct!

Anyway Sammy is talking about something completely different than what we are Dan. Pictures say a thousand words.
