Hey Fellas,

So I install my new shocks and go for a test drive and wow what a difference!! If you have old shocks, replace em you won't regret it. Anyway so I'm on my test drive lovin the new ride and I hit the ramp for the highway and I put her to the floor WOT and she goes great with smooth power until I hit 3rd gear and the CEL starts flashing at me WTF!!! So as I am slowing down it stays on solid and it seems to drive and run fine, so I continue how to get my hypertech out to read the codes and I got 7 total all misfires P0: 300,301,304,305,306,307,308. So I guess the only two that behaved was #2+3 LOL.
It was recently tuned up with Napa echlin and champ. truck plugs gapped at 45( I run a glass pack and open air filter jacobs C-4 coil) and a 87 octane tune from my Hypertech tuner fuel pump, p/up coil is new.
Drove it today and all was fine???? not so much as a hiccup any ideas guys? Much appreciated

 

Reset PCM and try it again. Could have been a fluke or bad fuel. Nothing is going to fail and give you 8 codes in 10 seconds.

Also, your plugs are gapped wrong.

regap the plugs to .040 and get some fresh gas i agree with indy, probably a fluke, idk of anything that will fail and throw that many codes that fast

 

Re-gap the plugs as everyone states unless you are running some kind of performance output coil. Even with my MSD ignition I found that running .042 was perfect for my build which was pretty built.


Could also be a bad Camshaft Sensor (AKA...Pick Up Sensor) located under the Distributor cap or lazy coil.


Reset the PCM as Indy states.

 

Okay, heres the update.... Reset the PCM and then reprog the 87 octane tune from the Hypertech and all is well. Must have been a fluke??

I have yet to regap the plugs to 42 Hydra, but I will as the C-4 coil I'm running is high output.
