COSTCO Eden Prairie, MN
I thought there was a dealer/mechanic kudo's section but I can't seem to find it so I will just start one again.....Before you ask, yes this is a cross post from D.O.C.
I can't find the category for this one, maybe the webmasters can make one…Congrats or kudos section.
I'd like to give a Kudos to Costco, Eden Prairie, MN Tire center, Lucas.
I came home from my weekend in DC, left the employee parking lot MSP, went over to AutoZone Richfield, MN to look at a few things. Went out to leave and found my RT front tire low, looked around for obvious signs but couldn't find any. I backed up to different spot to get ready to change and BINGO!! I got screwed literally, a big screw inside the tread. No photos, but I'm sure most people know what a foreign object in the tire looks like, at least for now I'll give the benefit of the doubt.
Did I mention this is the one time of the year when I DID NOT have my Craftsman hydraulic floor jack!! We got the factory jack and R&R with the spare in the A/Z Parking lot, The Manager on Duty helped. I found my spare low, but better than the tire it was replacing. After R&R the tire I went to the nearest Super America for air, (it was 10 PSI) got it filled up and went to Costco.
I had originally planned to leave the tire overnight and pick it up tomorrow after work. Lucas, the tire tech on duty, mentioned that it'd only take about 20 minutes and he'd be done. I shopped the store a bit, had a $1.50 Kosher hot dog and drink and he found me in the food court to drop off my keys. Lucas also took the initiative to not only patch the tire under warranty, but also verified the inflation of the spare and put the spare back underneath the vehicle.
Congrats and Kudos to Costco Eden Prairie for their efficiency, service and speed in getting me back on the road and saving another trip across town.
