I need some advise about my 98 durango. About a month ago I was driving to pick someone up and about 2 miles from my house the 4wd came on and would not disingage. I took it to a shop and the guy said he did not know why it did that. He couldn't get it to disingage and he had the car for a week. Then he call and said it would cost me $1600 to fix . He disconnected the 4wd and the thing drives like trash. I can't drive no more than 30 mph and if I press the peddle to hard I hear a banging sound in the rear of the car. What can I do , I need help!

 

id take his *** to court and get my money back or stop the check or cancel payment thru cc company sounds like a shotty mech at best....but really this is the wrong section....
