I have a 1999 2WD that the engine light came on. Took to garage and they told me the problem is somewhere in the fuel evap system. Is there any way to check the purge solenoid in the evap system or and hoses that are common to crack or break? Also, will this problem cause the vehicle to idle rough after about 4 minutes of setting at idle?

 

did they replace the gas cap
