You can reuse them. I have in many, many applications with no problems.

i dont see why you cant reuse them either, unless you damaged them, or they have something on there that would bend into place as they tightened to stop them from backing out (that would have to be broken off to get the nut off)

Yes, but it needs to be torqued to 180 ft/lbs torque however sense it has been torqued before I would torque it to 182 just to be safe.

2 ft/lbs won't make much of a difference when you get that high. Even a good TW can't tell the difference.

Here is a good vid, love the voice over. haha

Boy here we go again huh?

After you torque a bolt the "torque a bolt or nut" means "stretching a bolt or nut" the bolt stretches. You can only stretch a bolt one time and that is it! However you can strech a bolt or nut "further" causing a true torqued bolt/nut. If you go the same or under then you do NOT stretch a bolt correctly hints the reason you have replace head bolts and like wise. You can always over stretch "torque" the bolts with caution but you cannot under torque or same torque the bolt or nut that has already been torqued.

New head bolts are used because you cannot safely over torque "stretch" the bolts correctly. However you should never re-torque bolts that have already been torqued because the OEM torque is set for a reason.

Yes I said 2 f'lbs but that's better than nothing for over torque. Can a good torque wrench tell the difference, no, however just to be safe.

But hey what do I know!
