It is a NP 242. Not sure what you mean by that last part, the grommet is seated on the lever with the beveled side facing the bottom of the pic as shown. Its just doesn't show up in the picture.

So you have the Full Time transfer case version NP 242 because you have the model 2000 right?

Should be an R/T correct with a 5.9L?

Did anyone find this bushing part? I'm in need of both ends. I was lucky enough to hear my shifter fall out and I got it. Have left it in 2wd for a while, but need 4wd, and want to put the shifter back in place.

You can't buy the part. You need to get one out of a junker.
