On my 98 Durango 318 4x4 the radio stays on after the key is removed. It never did this before in 12 years of ownership. I tried swapping the original factory head unit (which has never been removed) with a new, OEM replacement but no success there. The truck isn't my daily driver, so if it sits for a few days the battery is drained. Anyone have any idea what's wrong here?

 

sorry, cant really help you but i would defintly suggest you to disconnect the battery, will stop the draining.

 

look for a short in the wire harness, it sounds like you have something which is always on connecting with the power supply line for the radio
