Hi guys-
I had a question about the rear brakes on a 2003 Durango. I was just wondering what's the best way to press in the caliper pistion to make room for the new pads. Will a c-clamp work, or is that box specialty tool to rotate the piston in the best way? Just wanted some advice before I start as this will be the 1st time. Thank you.
Careful, I don't know how yours is made, but the rear ones on an SRT Ram are plastic. It's easy to use a pry-bar between the old pad and disc to ease it back in.
Thanks for the posts. I changed my brakes tonight & everything went fine. I used a 4" C clamp & an old brake pad...the piston went all the way in with a few turns of the clamp.
