Default abs brake light

I did some reading in this forum and found the advice very helpful. My abs and brake light were on and the speedo was affected in my 99 durango. In the forum the advice was to change the abs sensor in the rear differential. I did that and the lights went out, the speedo still isn't working till about 15 mph, and the abs and brake lights come back on after a bit of driving but they reset after i turn the durango off only to come on after a bit of driving again. While they are off when the speedo drops below the 15 mph and stops reading, the brake pedal drops and i feels like the brakes are pulsing. I am guessing this is the abs trying to work when the speedo isn't working correctly. Any Ideas on what could be wrong. any help would be appreciated. By the way I also replaced the speed sensor on the transmission.

Sure way to test your abs is go to a secluded street and gun it and stop short. If you feel stutter, you have front abs.

lol, how about a safer way to tell if he has 4 wheel ABS, call the dealer with the VIN and ask for a build sheet

besides if the light is on the ABS might not be working properly

He can also look for front wheel ABS sensors.

If you have replaced the rear sensor then let me say this, take it to a dealer and have them fix it or someone with a ABS reader which 90% of mechanics don't have.
