Need some help please. Durango will not start after putting dash back in.
Hi all, I am in desperate need of some help. Here's the scoop. I got a 99 Durango SLT from my brother. He recently replaced the heater core. Well, in the process, some wires were pinched, vacuum hoses left unattached, and a few other things like that. My other brother helped me take the dash out, and repair some broken wires, and the vacuum lines for the vents. We also found some pinched wires leading to the steering wheel. We fixed that whole mess.
Right now, the durango does not start, the lights do not work, no horn, no power windows. We double and triple checked everything. All the connectors are in the correct spot, all of the fuses look ok. The only thing we found were some wires to a connector that is attached to the brake pedal were broken.
Here is what and where the connector is:

and the wires going to connector.

So my question is, could this connector attached to the brake pedal, cause the vehicle not to start?
If it would not affect the starting of the vehicle, can you think of things I may have missed.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott

Got it figured out today. There is a fuse box that has a threaded bolt in it. Well that wasn't tight enough. Everything is working great now, even the a/c. I owe my brother (the one I didn't buy the durango from) big time for this.

This is the culprit as to why the Durango wouldn't start. When my brother and I put the dash back in, we decided not to tighten everything back down, just in case we had to take the dash back out. Well, my brother was able to seat the connector, but didn't tighten the bolt. So the connector really wasn't making contact. Once we figured this out, everything worked great.
Scott.
