How do I know my axle ratio?
I just got my first Durango and I love it! It's a '99 with a 5.2L V8. It has the towing package (factory I believe) but I don't know how to tell what my axle ratio is. I know that with the 3.92:1 ratio, I have more towing capacity and I would assume that with the tow package I might have this ratio but does anyone know how I can verify this?
Thanks!

The Tow Package doesn't necessarily have the 3.92 Rear End, I have the Tow Package with 3.55s. Anyway to find the Axle Ratio check the Glove Box, on the inside of the lid it should tell you what gears you have
Well, unfortunately, I HAVE e a sticker inside my glove box with SOME specs on it but nothing at all about the gear ratio. I've also checked for the metal plate on the actual transfer case (at the rear) and could not find anything there. Any other suggestions?
Look under the truck on the axle itself right next to the spring on the underside there is a white laminated sticker that has the part number axle ratio trace code and if its open or lsd... I Schedule the axles at the plant.. if not on under side its on front or rear of the axle I cant remember which way they put em on to the frame.. Let me know if you cant find it
