T/S Lift New Tire Size
I know this is a little early to ask this question but I'm asking it anyways.
Once i get get my durango lifted up 2 inches from the T/S lift how big of a tire can i fit without rub?
Hydrashocker gave me a link where i read about a t/s lift on durangos and it said the biggest size that would fit without rub is 32x11.5. Is this correct? The way it was worded in that forum made it seem like there might be very minor rubbing.
I think he said it was the biggest tire you can get without "rub" but it will wipe the dirt off of the tires.
Him saying it'll wipe dirt off the tire makes it seem like it might rub? Am i just being overly picky to details?
Hopefully 45Autopete will be happy that i'm doing something besides "louder exhaust"

33 X 12.5's will rub unless you use offset rims by 2" you will also need a 3" body lift. Now I have seen people in here using a T/S lift and 32 X 11.5" without modifications with a rub when turning on the frame.
But I would stay with the 32 X 10.5 to keep the rubbing down to minimum unless you are using offset rims.

Hydrashocker, so you think 32x11.5 will rub? I have heard it wouldn't? Well if it will i guess i'll go with a 32x10.5 not to bad i suppose. I almost feel a 32x10.5 could fit now without rub. But I'm not sure. I don't suppose you can turn the wheels a full turn and measure how much extra space you have as a way to calculate how much bigger you can go?
Also if i do get a 32 inch tire will i need to have the computer calibrated to account for the larger tire or is the size increase to minimal to need something like that?

My stock tire now is 265/70R16 would i be looking to get 265/75R16 then? Also can you tell that the tire is bigger when looking at the 2?
265/70R16 is a 31x10.5
265/75R16 is a 32x10.5
What would a 32x11.5 tire be? not 270/75R16?

well the first number is the width, the second number is the height as a PERCENTAGE of the width, and the last is the rim diameter

I looked at that converter and used soem basic knowledge that i had by putting in my tire size. and well by the looks of that converter i'm guessing a 285/70R16 is what i would need? Is that right? 285 millimeters wide making it roughly 11.5 inches wide and 70 being the percent of sidewall height? making it 32 inches tall?
