could be a couple of things. the power steering pump could be on its way out. the system could be dirty and sometimes clogging up. the belt could be slipping on the ps pulley, and in rare cases i have seen where the pulley is slipping on the pump shaft do to a broken keyway or"half moon" key or a worn pulley or pump shaft, as im not sure if these are the pressed on type of pulleys or the kind that has a keyway . good luck these are just a few ideas im sure other people have different ones

There is a PS senor that could be out. I would replace it because it should be throwing a code if there is an issue.

Next would be the pump or steering box.
