340 into a 2000 durango?

340 into a 2000 durango?

I got me a real good 1971, 340 motor. Can I install this engine(short block) in to my 2000 D? I wish to keep my magnum heads and F.I. Frankly I think the 340 will get better MPG's and a heck of a lot more power.

it is my understanding that magnum heads will not fit on a non-magnum block. evidently the water ports wont line up.
