Default Passenger side brake light does not work

Hey everyone,

I just got a 2001 4.7 Durango and noticed that the passenger side brake light does not work. I got a new bulb and that did not fix the problem. I looked at the fuse box under the hood and everything looked ok. Would this be a brake light switch? I am not sure what to do, any help would be great!

Aslo one of the center mount brake lights is out, how do I change that bulb?

Thanks

the passenger side brake light is probably a loose plug somewhere, i would start by checking the wire harness going all the way back up front from that side just to be safe

for the center brake light you have to pull the trim off the inside of the back window to get to it iirc

It could be corrosion in the bulb plug. You can use a multi-meter to see if you have a short or what.

To replace the high mount brake light bulbs. You need to gently pry off the plastic trim piece from the rear hatch. There are three bulbs to replace. You need to get two packs of bulbs. Here's a link to all bulb sizes for your 01 4.7: http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...RG-Results.htm
