Default Which AC thread to read?

I am looking for a general concensus here. When your AC won't get cold unless both front and rear units are on, what is the most common reason for this? Won't get cold unless rear unit is on, is my symptom, but I have read others that have the same issue, reversed.

I have read a few AC threads, but I haven't discovered a common factor for this problem yet.

Need some direction please.

Thanks
David

yup, thats where i would start, but i believe it usually ends up being that one of the expansion valves is clogged

and for the record A/C problems are usually best left to the experts once you rule out fan problems and ensure that the clutch is grabbing properly
