Son-in-law's 2003 Durango, V8, non Hemi. He is deployed to Baghdad so I am the shade tree guy. There is a whine, electrical sounding, but not from the alternator or the AC, it is coming from somewhere behind the air filter housing, passenger side and near the firewall (or so it seems). I know this is one of those YGBSM things but has anyone experienced anything similar to this?

 

I just what to thank your Son-in law for his service. I have no clew on the noise tho.
