Heater Core Change Bad Ground????
Hey guys i got a problem i wanted to see if anyone could help me with. I changed my heater core out with a friend yesterday...what a fun job!! Well after breaking the white blending door, that is now discontinued, i ended up not being able to find one. Anyway we rigged it up so that it will work, but the problem is that blower motor now only works on high.
If the headlights are on, the blower wont work on high or any other setting, if headlights are off, blower only works on high. The interior lights or chime do not work but the brake lights do. I have checked the 2 grounds on driver side and passenger side, cleaned them and re tighten, same issue. Does anyone here know what ground i need to find to fix this? I really think its a ground issue but any other thoughts on what it could be? Everything worked great before we took it apart LOL story of my life! Thanks for the help!!!!

i agree, sounds like a bad ground, or a loose connection behind the dash probably,
the other thing to keep in mind is that these trucks are known to go through blower motor resistors (the running only on high is the classic symptom of this) fortunately thats a $12 part at the stealer.
