Default 1999 Durango no spark, no fuel

Hi all,

Mywe 99 has been sitting for a while. The battery was completly drained. I replaced the battery and went to start it up; nothing. The engine turns but nothing more.

I checked for fuel pressure and have none. Before going down that route, I also checked for spark and nothing. Checked for voltage at wires to coil; nothing.

All the fuses seem fine under the hood as well. I did see a post about a 100 Amp fues; where is this one located?

Swapped out the fog relay with ASD relay; still nothing. I'm guessing maybe the PCM is dead/fried. How does one test this?

I plan to check the cam position sensor in the morning. My guess is this will not have power either.

The big fuse is located under the hood in the PDC (Power Distribution Center) *Fuse box*. Look at where the Positive battery cable comes in and you will see a fuse touching it before anything.

i dont think a dead pcm would affect all of those things, the fuel pump is on a relay which goes on in certain key positions iirc, i would replace the big fuse before doing anything else, i would also check for power in the PDC (black box) and fuse box int he door, there has to be a bad connection somewhere.

100AMP fuse is fine. I have power to the ASD relay port as well. That is, I pulled the relay and tested for power to power connector in PDC.

I will try and test for power at the fuse box (after the rains end).

There is no power at the coil connector when the key is turned to the on position.

I had the same thing on my dads 97 Ram ended up being the pcm. The fuel pump and ASD relay are grounded thru the pcm so it you get power to them but thats it i would look at getting a new pcm.

here are the wiring diagrams for your truck, spend some time tracing wires to look for corrosion/broken wires (mice like to nest next to the warm engine, can chew through insulation overnight, i have seen it happen)

if you need more of that manual it can be found here

(3 pages worth of files to dl, so have fun)

Default just curious what fixed this...

Currently having the same issue with my 99 Durango 5.2... no spark, no fuel pump action.. I have tested all relays and they are all fine... I read today that if the crankshaft position sensor is bad, it will affect both of these... well I'm going to try and replace it and see...
