Default Neutral safety switch

My harness is no good and can't seem to find a replacement. Will the switch and harness from earlier models work? That harness is easy to get and they are inexpensive.from

My search revealed that I'm not the only one who's had problems finding the type of harness my Durango uses.

1998-1999 are the same.

I looked up the switch pin outs and they are the same color wires to same source pins (well at least on the 1999-2001 Ram) to the durango. There is one difference tho;

On the left side of the harness is pin out #1. This wire is supplied with a 20-VT/BK colored wire. The wire goes into the switch as "Back-Up Lamp Feed". On the 1999-2001 Ram it states L10 18BR/LG goes to "Fused Ignition Switch Output (Run)"

Now I would say its worth a try from a junk yard but I would try to find the correct harness.

I need the harness for my 1998 Durango 5.2L with a 44re transmission. I can't find it locally or through online search. Maybe someone has a pick n pull nearby, that has one and can get it for me. Any help would be appreciated, here's a pic for comparison.

Thanks, I'll look into it. Need to get my truck on the road before the cold weather hits.
