I was looking on shox.com. I found these Bilsteins. "Set of 4 F&R(BE5-2617-H0& BE5-2790-H0)" for $269 shipped. Looks like a great deal, it beats Amazons price. Are these the recommended Bilsteins for a 1st gen D? They aren't adjustable, could you still run these with a T/S lift?

OK well I was thinking about changing my shocks soon and was wondering what kind to get, but after reading the testimonials and arguements, I think I'll go with the bilsteins, because I do tow frequently and would prefer the stiffer performance suspension. And if besides the SRT cars and truck are using them, they must be a really good shock.

<--- I DO NOT want this in my choice of shock!! HAHAHA

I put the Gabriel Max Control shocks on my Durango and they have been working fine for about 7 months now. They are very stiff, so you feel the road imperfections for sure, but they do a great job of keeping the wheels planted. I don't feel ANY body roll, though I know there has to be some. The truck feels level even when I do 50 mph around an almost 360 deg hwy exit ramp near my house. One thing I did have an issue with though when I first installed them was breaking the lower shock bolts while driving. After installing some grade 10.5 bolts from Fastenal I had no more issues. If they don't hold up my next shocks will be Bilsteins, as a former GM tech I've seen how well they perform on Corvettes and Camaros.
