If it's a Canadian model, the headlight would come on no matter what the weather condition is.

Yea, I know but just trying to get a sense of direction.

In GMC's and Chev's they have an "eye" like that that automaticly turn the head lights on when it gets to dark so the user does not have to use the switch. In fact there is NO head light switch! I wonder if the previous owner was doing something like this?

On a different note, it could be one of those little lights that people install with colors like blue or such that are supposed make them look cool......LOL...... I would take it out and see if is is an "eye" with photo cells, or a light?

I think hydra has mistaken dakota raven's pic for luxurydodge's. Raven's dak is an 07 while luxury's is a 1st gen D. Correct? That's why you see the eye for the 07 Dak. BTW, the blue slider LED next to the eye is most likely and aftermarket alarm warning light. JMHO.

some of them can get the transmitters to turn the traffic lights, they just put em in the front windshield and turn em on when they get a call

LOL!!! Shrps! Ya gotta get your eyes checked! That LED is too small to warn anyone of anything unless it's for an alarm. I operate an emergency vehicle and I can tell you the LEDs that are used are way bigger and brighter than that. At least you said it was part of an alarm first!
