Rear automatic windows not working?

Default Rear automatic windows not working?

Both back windows are not working the passenger side didn't want to roll down I hit the panel and it has been working tried that with the back two windows and not as lucky any suggestions

i agree with indy, sounds like the drivers side master switch failed

+2 on the master switch. Use a flathead to gently pry off the switch. Clean out all contacts with emery cloth and apply dielectric grease before reinserting the connections. HTH.

So are you sayin that you can "fix" the individual switches?

You can ATTEMPT to clean and rehab the switches. May be just as easy to unplug and plug in a new replacement however.

What Indy said. If the connections are bad or corroded, clean them off and try working the switch. If not, get a new master switch.

Mine just started acting up, and I have been thinking of trying to clean the contacts within the switch (savin money for Christmas). The other thing is if it "can" be done, I will document how to do it. I agree that it would be better just to get a new one, but at the same time if we can "fix" it, that would be great. From what Dan made it seem like, you could just clean the micro-switchs not just the harness.

Hydra, I'm looking forwarsd to your write-up. Hmmm... microswitches, you think radio shack may have those in stock?

radioshack has everything if you want to pay their premium prices, i prefer to order online if im going to use enough of the parts (i always do at some point)
