99 durango no power
This has happened 3 times now in the past month that I go out to get in my durango and there is no power. No dome light, no remote key unlock, etc.. like there is no power in the vehicle. Had the battery tested and it is fine. I let it set for a few days and then all of a sudden it starts working. One thing I notice is that if I put a volt meter on the battery when it is not hooked up, it will read 12.4 volts. If I hook up the wire terminals, volt meter will only read 2.3 volts. Is there a short in some wiring somewhere or something else to look at? Could it be the CTM (Central Timer Module)? I have replaced both the positive and negative battery terminals also. Any suggestions?
sounds like you have somethig not disconnecting when you turn the truck off
i would start by checking fuses and seeing which ones are still drawing power (i believe only one should with the key off) and narrow it down from there.
the other things to check are do you have clean connections at the battery? and at all the big wire connections?

Thanks for the suggestions. I had the battery tested again and it showed good, however I noticed it was losing voltage without anything hooked up to it. Took it back to the shop that tested it and told them it was losing voltage and they gave me a new battery. Hooked it to the car and I am no longer seeing the voltage drops. Hopefully it was just a bad battery that was causing my problem.
