I found these removal instruction in the Service Manual:

REAR DOOR SECONDARY SEAL
REMOVAL
(1) Remove the push-in fasteners attaching the
secondary seal to the inner door panel (Fig. 60).
(2) Separate the secondary seal from the inner
door panel

If you do find a source, make sure they include the push-in fasteners!

I tried to find those that hold up the hood-engine cover and couldn't locate those, either!

You must have read the instuctions on the wrong seal, because the seal on the bottom of the door is just held on with double sided tape or glue. I just had my truck repainted and they removed them, but I have never been able to find and replace them anywhere but the dealership. Im still looking for a solution on where to get them.

You know, some of those fancy-shmancy luxury cars have heat shields or blankets attached to the underside of their hoods. They're held on by push-in rivets.

pretty sure my dads 09 dak has something like that on the underside of the hood
