There is no way in hell you'd find me using those safety loops to pull a car out of a ditch. I tie a tow strap around the ball and go from there. Sheesh pulling from the safety loops is asking for a new hitch needed.

**** kicks ****!..........LMAO

Anyway, you could have shop place a 1/4" X like 1" X 5" (or whatever) piece of scrap metal across the gaps (from one side across the receiver to the other side) and weld her down for a few bucks to fix it, or simply hit up a junk yard or Ebay.

Hydra, I was thinking of having somethin like that done when I get the spare change. They are torn up pretty good tho, Thought about having them just cut the loops off and weld a whole new curved flat stock or something onto the hitch. --- End threadjack, sorry OP.

That's all that is there anyway!

I would just take it in to a welding company and they will fix it up for a few bucks.

its little things like that which make me wish we had a welder . . .

however we wouldnt use it enough to justify the cost (we dont buy cheap **** considering that most of the time you get what you pay for)

Well if you know how to use oxy-acetylene (a basic cutting torch with welding tips) it could be your best friend. You can heat with it, cut with it, and weld with it!
