Ok I have a 98 durango 4x4 and have been having this problem with the reverse lights for a while, we changed the neutral safety switch, the bulbs, and the fuses. Still nothing. If anyone has any clues as to what could be wrong with this please feel free to help

 

Sounds like a short. You are going to have to trace the problem out.

 

i had a problem like this. does it blow the fuse in the dash whenever you turn the key? i looked all around, front to back for the short. it was simply the harness itself going to the swich
