Well you can open it up and check inside and look for obvious signs of something wrong.

You may also want to check the CTM, it's located down by the kick panel driver side and looks like a box with a plug. Try unplugging it for a few minutes to reset it, hopefully it will be something stupid like a wiggled loose connection or moisture.

Nope IAC sounds fine. The IAC (Idle Air Control valve) controls how much air is let in when the TB fins are closed. If the IAC needed cleaning, it would stall out on idle. Also check the connections at the battery and ensure they're not corroded or anything.

Default Oh,the horror!

WTH is this box,and how much does it cost?Where the black cable mounts, the whole thing is loose, and it looks burnt. When I wiggle the wire, the whole thing, including the two nuts, and their bolts, wiggle. This cant be an easy cheap fix,I bet.

that is the PDC (power distribution center), i have never seen anyplace where you can buy them, your best bet IMO is to take the wires off and clean everything up good and replacing any bolts that are too badly gone

or you could check a junkyard for a wrecked truck from the same year.

EDIT: BTW fixing this could very possibly fix your issues

Yep, I agree with shrp this could be the culprit of your problem. If you do go the route of having to get a new PDC, make sure you get one off a Durango with ALL the same features you have. In example, if yours had heated mirrors, make sure the donor vehicle also has heated mirrors.

If you don't ensure this, you could have issues with wires not going where they should or features you have that don't work.

Think of the PDC as the circuit breaker box in your house. It takes the large amount of current drawn from either the alternator or battery, and sends off the proper amount of current to the areas needed. You could imagine what could happen to electricity in the house if that box was loose and maybe had a loose connection.

I guess you cant see it in the pic,but it looks like if I put a wrench to them, they'll snap.
I've got a schematic from my local parts guy, showing a fuse number 17,which is a 15 amp,but I'm not sure which one it is.
