I am driving my D to N. Carolina to go visit my 8 yr old son for the week. I haven't seen him since last june but I talk to him on the phone. It's about 844 miles from my house to greensboro, nc area, where my son is. This is going to be my first real long trip in my D. I am going to change the oil and top off all the fluids tomorrow. I am going to top off the front and rear diffs if needed. I know that the front is a little low, not sure about the rear though. Just get it all checked out and ready to go. Also I think I am going to install a homebrew CAI for the trip.

 

That is great news! I can't imagine how difficult it is for you to be away from him for so long. The most I was away from my sons and wife was when I was in the hosp. for a week. I talked to them every night. I tell you, that's the best feeling in the world to hold your offspring and feel the unconditional love that they give to you. I'm getting misty eyed now. Have a safe trip and enjoy the visit!

 

That's great.... have a safe trip and if your route brings you though southern PA and you need some advice on where to eat,sleep ect. let me know.....

Old_school, How far are you from Greensboro, NC? That's where I will be staying.

I added gear oil to both diffs and got the oil changed today. Checked everything else and all is good.
