Default Blower motor & Resistor

I have no idea what to do. I installed a new blower motor and replaced the blower resistor 3 times...it continues to stop working intermittantly until i wiggle the wire harness where the resistor is. the last resistor i replaced when i replace the motor the same time looked like it was burnt where the connector plugs into it. do I need to replace the whole harness?

Yes, the burnt harness will continue to ground out the resistor until you replace the whole harness.

Replace the harness.

You can buy a new harness from the dealer that is an upgraded heavy duty one, or get a new one from a junk yard. You will have to splice it in either way.

When you splice the harness in, do yourself a huge favor and do it right.

Solder the wires rather than just twisting them together, and use shrink tube rather than just wrapping them with electrical tape.

It's more work but will result in a permanent repair instead of something that you'll have to redo in a couple of years.
