Default Ticking sound

I have a 2003 Dodge quad 4x4 with a 5.7 hemi I am noticing a ticking sound coming from under the truck near the engine. It increases with revs. Does any one else experiencing this sound . I can't get to a mechanic till next week. The truck has 38,000 klms on it.
Just curious.,

Very nice truck! That ticking seems quite common with Hemi's, like a signature.

I went as far as using a stethoscope to find the noise on my Hemi. It seems to be coming from the fuel rail and EGR. Some say they hear the niose from under the truck, but I haven't gotten that impression unless I'm against a wall or something.

Anyway, it's a typical sound for the Hemi.

I cant believe no one has jumped on this yet. I'm new, first post even. I take you you are new to the car/truck world or have not done much mechanical work in the past. I'm not trying to be an a$$

The ticking you hear are the injectors cycling. This is common and some people mistake it for lifter tick. I'm sure it's all good. I hope you are also able to get any other questions you have answered here as so do I. These forums can be very helpful but a reminder; please any questions you ask and find an answer for, post your fix or solution so others may benefit from it.

Hey man just replying to the comment you made. I have been on other forums and have heard pretty much the same thing about the HEMI tick. That it is the injectors, valve ticking, EGR and among other things. I my self have had my HEMI in two times to have this looked at and Dodge has told me that it was the injectors. To me it seems hard to believe that so much noise would come from the injectors? What do you think? Maybe I just need some reasurance that it is a signature sound that the HEMI makes. Still dont' like the tick though.
