Flowmaster
I'm looking to do a flowmaster exhaust system 40 series muffler. I also need to get a Catalytic converter. Anybody know where i can order these parts for a decent price I have a 2000 Durango 4.7L.
Are you planning to do the work yourself? I've done quite a bit of calling around in my area and haven't found a single muffler shop that will use any parts that they don't sell me.
Still debating on whether to do it myself or suck it up and pay what they're asking. I'm good with a wrench, but lousy with a welder, especially on thin material. And if I'm doing high end exhaust, I want everything welded, not patched together with cheesy muffler clamps....

Agree with everyone. Also unless you're doing the work yourself no muffler shop will put in a CAT you purchased somewhere else. Muffler might be a different story but not likely.
If buying on eBay make sure you're buying authentic FlowMaster and not some cheap knockoff.

Yeah, very unlikely.
At least with the shops I called they actually quoted me surprisingly small prices for labor. So small that I'm left to assume that they pretty much stay in business on the markup on parts.
And boy do they mark them up! LOL... So I can definitely understand the desire to find a good price on the muffler somewhere else, but if you're not installing it yourself you may end up just wasting that money on a muffler that will sit in the garage waiting and waiting to be installed.
Now if the OP or one of his buddies has some reasonable welding skills, then we've got a whole different ballgame.

The muffler shop i use here puts on mufflers etc that is bought elsewhere. Just charges labour ,,,my system to install from collecters back was $100 cash lol . i supplied the piping and muffler, and tip, a couple of manderl bends and she was done.. Yu might have some shops who`ll do that in yur area
Wish I could find a shop around here that would do that. I'd be able to do 3" catbacks with Flowmaster 40s on BOTH of my Ds for about half of what it's going to cost me to do one after I pay the muffler shops markup on the parts.....
