Hey again guys! Long time no talk! I deserved what was coming to me and I wanted to apologize to how I acted before. Furthermore, I bought a CAI for my 2000 4.7l Durango. I bought it for about $36.00 off of eBay. Now, before you start yelling at me for buying off of eBay haha, I already know what I'm getting myself into. However, a few of the members on here bought the same one I did and they say it had worked out great so far and other websites as well! Now, there are a couple of things I wanted to bring up. One, I noticed that, like many others, it doesn't come with any brackets so the CAI can sit nice and fit and won't shake when you go over a bump or that may lead to cracks. I saw a few people actually just used zip ties and found something they could just wrap it around nice and snug so it won't bounce. Two, I noticed that it also doesn't come with a heat shield, so technically, it's not a CAI...just an AI haha. What can I do to help that? A few of the guys here just made their own, either with a garbage can, which that guy deserves a medal haha or with just some scrap metal...good enough? Any tips as well for the people that DIY CAI? Thanks in advance guys! I'll post pics. soon!
Now that's freakin' inventive!! I like that a lot and if I wasn't worried about engine dress up as much as I am I would have done that! He deserves an award. LOL
I know right! I was thinking to use a cardboard box as a template so I'm really measuring twice and cutting once! This will be a nice weekend project, I'll be sure to take pictures as we go. Can't wait to hear that engine breathe!
also, quick question, my truck sits on 31's stock maybe even 32's, not sure, but if I put a T/S lift that'll lift it 2", what's the max tire I can fit?
