Default HeadLight Hell -FIXED!

My saga ended thru my own discovery. My low-beam problems were caused by a short in my steering column! I found out that when the lights were turned on, the headlights worked when the tilt steering was in the UP position. When I brought the steering wheel down, the headlights turned off.... As the steering column is also where the high beam control is, therein lied the electrical short.

The dealer fixed for free ( courtesy of the smartest thing I ever did, bought an extended warranty )

Toyota Sequoia here I come!

Hey Polara,

What was the specific wire/component color/location that the actual short detected in?

I have had the same problem for many months now and I cannot seem to locate a short!

Thanks in advance!
