2003 Durango, engine dont starts, gages dont work
I had a similar problem back last year. Blew the forum up here trying to find a fix....it was own stupidity the whole time and I wasted most of a day scratching my head over it.
The fix was the main wiring harness cover was loose. Tightened the cover and haven't had that problems since. Here's the link to that fix: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/1st-gen...s-flasher.html
On the plus side, if I hadn't had that problem, I never would have read the posts from the fine people on this forum like Hrydra, Whitewidow00 and many others.

The Durango was in the garage. They checked it and found something. But, I am sorry, I don't know exactly what. But the batterie is ok.
After this, the car run good and I had no problems with starting, till 2 weeks ago and Thurstday.
The following happend.
Two weeks ago I was at a gas station, tried to start the car and ... nothing.
The gages didn't move and the engine did not start.
I tried 10 Minutes, after the last ( I was sad and dissapointed) try the gages mooved after I wiggeld the key in the ignition lock.
After this I drove 300 Miles and kept him running till I was at home. Then, nothing, he started allways in the right way.
Last Thurstday, I started the car in the morning. The lights "check gages", "ABS" and "Check Brakes" were on and the wiper worked in the intervall mode with the high speed not the normal speed (I switched them on It was raining).
To check the car I drove in a parking lott and turned off the engine.
After this I tried to start the engine again. Nothing happens. But now, only the gas gage did not move.
I tried several times and nothing happens. I hold the key in the start position, after some seconds one light in the dashboard after the other swiched on AND the odometer display start flashing and the information "no bus" apeared. see the picture
After approx. 10 Minutes I tried again, the gas gage moved and the car started.
Since them no problems.
I don't know what to do, I hope somewone of you have some idea what is going on with or in my car.

Thanks for your response!!
@topdogcustoms: I don't know how old the battery is, but I don't think that this is the root cause of my problem. It has enough power to start the engine altough with temeratures bellow 0
@hydrashocker: I agree with your mind with the key switch after the wiggeling. But it didn't worked the second time.
And here the news.
I am not the car specialist, but today I opened the hod
Beside the air filter is an electric controler with 4 plugs (black, white, orange and green).
I removed all the plugs and nothing happend - that was what I expected.
Then I pluged in the plugs one after the other.
AND
I could reproduce the failour with the lights in the dashbord. Also the "no bus" signal in the odometer.
From my point of view, there must be something with this unit.
All the failours I know appeared one after the other.
Now I have to make a trail with an other controler
Lets see what happen

that controller is the PCM
and thats just the thing with these trucks, the batteries can have plenty of juice to crank the engine over and get it fired, and then if you dont hold the revs up high enough the truck will die, this is because the alternator isnt putting out tenough voltage to keep the 12v input to the PCM happy so it goes WTF?!?!?! and kills the engine. that said you cannot rule out a battery just because it cranks as intended.
