Default I need some help please

Hey guys I hope this is the right area. I have a 98 Durango and the reverse went out the other day so I thinking but today i was driving and everytime i came to a stop it would come out of gear and not go back in so i tried the different 4wd's and none of them did anything except 4 low and then it would go into drive and reverse then i put it back into 2wd it would go into drive but still no reverse and every time i stop i would have to do that but sometimes if i keep the rpms up while braking it would stay in the gears please help and thank you in advance

sounds to me like your going to have to rebuild the transmission, but dropping the pan to see what is laying around in the bottom will give you an idea of how much damage you have done, btw the more y ou drive it the more damage you will do.

Sounds like you need to drop the pan but personally I think your trans is gone.

take it to a tranny shop.. find one with a good warranty.. have them rebuild / repair.. don't try to mess with a tranny unless you really know what you're doing..
also.. it might be kinda pricey..
