Default miss cylinder problem

I have a 1998 D 4X4 with a 5.9. I recently blew a head gasket on the road. Problem is I replaced the head gasket, had the Heads ported and polished and machined. Put in new Champion plugs, new distributor cap and rotor, and wire set from the dealer. I still have what sounds to me like a dead cylinder on idle. But when it hits 1500 RPM it smooths out. all the way to red line. Any Ideas? I'm going to pull each spark plug wire off one at a time and replace it intell I find the bad one then try some things with it. Hope someone has got something up their sleave! [sm=confused06.gif]

After review I found I have two bad cylinder rings in #4 and #6. [sm=headbang.gif]
