02 Durango dying while driving

Default 02 Durango dying while driving

truck is dying as you are driving you can be running 50 down the highway and it die and start back over and over also while this is going on it will die when you stop seems like it mostly does it after its been driven about 20 miles no check engine light 4.7 2wd

when it dies does it just die or does it act up a lil and u can tell its about to die?

while running down the road it will shut off without warning and can fire up repeatedly on it's own. if you aren't going fast enough it will die and not start back up without putting it in park or neutral and turning the key.

Sounds like a fuel pump or coil to me.

what do yall think about a stopped up or partially stopped up converter or is that a constant thing?

that would be a constant thing and would show up at high rpms first before it affects low rpm(you SHOULD be cruising at a pretty low rpm at 50)

can you hear the fuel pump from inside the durango or is it louder then normal if so your fuel pump is going out or the fuel filter which is in the tank is getting clogged what gas do you use
