Default Door Lock Cylinders.. (Intermittent locking and unlocking)

Hey guys. I appreciate any help I can get. I'm trying to do TSB 08-023-03 (Link http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2003/08-023-03.htm ). I've bought all of the door lock cylinders for my 2001 Durango: The drivers side, the passenger side, and the lift gate. I thought it'd be an easy swap, however I've run into an issue. I cannot find these things. I pulled off the drivers side panel and I'm definitely not seeing it. So I pulled off the lift gate panel, and I don't see that one either.

I tried finding a service manual online for my Durango and I came up with a bunch of websites that just want my money and no guarantee it's actually what I need! Are these door lock cylinder switches actually in the doors?!

I'm pretty mechanically inclined, I work on aircraft for a living and I just pulled out the valve body from the transmission to change out the solenoid on it. I don't think I'm dumb, but hey we all have hiccups. Help me please!

-Alex

Have you tried the faq section of this forum? There's lots of good advice there. See if this link has any info that might help. http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=c...b5ba589d1986ba

when you say door lock cylinders, you do mean the part that the key goes into to unlock the door manually correct?

if so i believe you need to pull the handle (black piece that sits in the door) to change them but the FAQ thread has the links to the service manual (for 01 you will want the 2002 manual, its closes) and you should be able to find detailed instructions for it
